The regular annual event to mark the end of winter time and the official dawning of "British summer time", BST was scheduled for Sunday March 31st.
As far as I know it never happened due to the extreme cold. I for one looked outside and went back to bed where the brass monkeys couldnt do their work.
On a related subject:
Last Sunday some of the guys rode to Jacks Hill Cafe. No one rang me because they knew I have a tendency to stay tucked up in bed during the early morning hours. Matt was heard to mutter words to that effect.
Well as it happens not only was I awake and digging in my allotment by 9am,
I clearly remember remarking to Linn that "I bet that lot are out on a ride and haven't rung because they think I am still in bed"
Well chaps I accept its probably my own fault becase I do like to be in bed during those early mornings when its wet cold grey and miserable but if its a nice day I might well be up and about. So give me a call please.
John
