Matt has sent in a few words and quite a few photos of his recent visit to the British Two Stroke Clubs camping weekend in Norfolk.
I have just spent the weekend at the British Two Stroke (BTSC) Rally at Kelling Heath near Weybourne in Norfolk - lovely traffic free back lane biking country, around forty bikes attending including me on yes you guessed it the Ariel Leader another two Leaders and two Arrows also at the meet, plus four or five chaps from the Northampton Section.
I especially have to admire all those that rode to the meet on Friday through the continuous rain which started at around 5 am and continued right through to 10 pm, which is when I lit my stove and made a bacon roll!
Membership of the BTSC is open to everyone you don’t even have to own a two stroke just have an interest in them....they even permit you to attend the Rally and runs on any bike hence you will see picture of MZ and Harley Davidson 2 stroke scooter the owners of which travelled all the way fron Beckenham in Kent riding two up with camping gear!
Talking of riding all the way there with camping gear attached to bike one chap I met rode from Pickering (Yorkshire) 256 miles on an early D1 Bantam, he decided he was so wet it wouldn't be fair to squelch into a cafe so did it non stop oh yes he was over 70!
You will see we visited North Norfolk Museum which has been tidied up a bit since last time I was there - first time visitors were overheard to say it's like you have died and gone to bikers heaven!
All the best
Matt
