Aberdale autocycle at Duloe.
If we ignore the snow and freezing cold, I am getting the feeling that spring is almost with us. This feeling is reinforced by the fact that it is once again time for the annual running of the EACC Duloe Daffodil Dash.
Usually held in bright sunshine this is an event that we as a club have supported for the last few years by turning out as spectators and enjoying the low key antics.
This year two of our members are actually taking part. Equipped with suitably under powered mopeds Matt and Chris will be attempting the event.
The intrepid pair will need to leave home at the crack of dawn riding through the cold early hours at a thrilling 25 mph to Duloe. They then plan to complete the course and then ride home. This will add up to an estimated 80 miles at slow speed on some very muddy narrow country roads.
Lets hope they make it home before it gets too dark.
For those that just want to go and watch the antics or lend support to Chris and Matts endeavours the ENCMCC run starts from Higham Ferrers market square at 9:45. weather permitting.
PS: I understand some, or possibly just Phil, who are unable to get out of bed early on a Sunday morning are proposing to go directly to the St Johns Arms, Melchbourne for lunch.

West Anglian Section's Duloe Daffodil Dash from Duloe Village Hall.
This run will take in villages around North Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire in the area of Grafam Water and Kimbolton with a lunch stop at St John's Arms, Melchbourne. There will be refreshment facilities at the village hall from 9:00am. An informal moped-style 'bring and buy' is envisaged, so bring along items for sale or swap.
