At the Rupert Brooke museum.
Another sunny day.
Once again a few Encmcc members assembled at Matts place for a ride out. Much to our surprise Matt announced that we would be visiting the Rupert Brooke Museum, dedicated to the first world war poet.
The museum is set in the ground of the Orchard in Grantchester near Cambridge.
The ride to Cambridge from Northants by country lane was very nice and we managed to find the Orchard with no problems. To our relief the museum had a tea room with seating indoors or outside in the orchard, we opted for sitting outside where we consumed cake and tea etc. In my case I enjoyed a very nice cup of Ceylon tea and a piece of apple pie.
The setting in the sunshine was really good sitting in the orchard among the apple laden trees with comfortable looking dack chairs scattered among the trees.
We managed to sit there long enough to make it too late to visit the museum itself
so we shall reserve that pleasure foe another day.
