Cedos was a company that built over 4000 bikes in Northampton between 1919 and 1927 when the company closed down. Today it is estimated less than a dozen remain.
On Easter Sunday in celebration of the marque a small gathering of Cedos bikes were assembled at the Compass Inn in Milton Malsor.
There had been some confusion during the week as to the date and location, both of which had changed from previous years, but this was eventually resolved by looking up the online edition of the village magazine.
Linn and I rode over to the pub arriving about midday. We met the rest of the Encmcc members attending, or to put it another way we ran into Matt at the pub. Also present where a group from Northants VMCC who had made the Cedos event the destination for their Sunday run.
The eclectic mixture of bikes present made for interesting viewing until the weather went into a decline. The rather poor conditions meant that the pub was fairly busy whilst the outdoor BBQ didn't seem to be doing much business. The onset of drizzle saw the majority of riders heading home. This was also the signal for Matt to leave, whilst we retreated into the pub for a lemonade before we too were on our way home.
