Rod bought a couple of plants at the Workbridge garden centre. We have no news if they survived the journey home in his panniers.
A discussion at club night followed by an email that night to all members brought out four riders. John on his Black Guzzi v7, Rod on his Guzzi Breva 750, Trev on his Kawasaki W800 and me on my Triumph Legend.
The weather was good and this ride out took in parts of North Bedforshire and West Northamptonshire concentrating on some of the narrower and twistier routes available. The circular route brought us back into Northampton where we visited the site of the Workbridge charity in Northampton. Workbridge hosts a garden centre a couple of shops and of most interest to us a cafe.  We had lunch at the cafe which proved very good and excellent value for money, just what we like.
after lunch whilst we were having a look around Rod visited the tiny garden centre and purchased some plants in pots and put them in his panniers.
On departing Northampton John and Trev headed off home whilst Rod and I went to visit Martyn Penney
Martyn who is still recovering from another of his recent series of operations hasnt been able to ride his bike lately so we thought we we would pay him a visit. We were made very welcome After starting with tea and cake we moved on to the garage where I kick started and warmed up his Royal Enfield whilst he exerted himself by pressing a button to start his BMW. rod had other plans and as I played with the bikes Rod got the lawn mower out and gave Martyns lawn a quick trim before we went on our way home.
I never did hear if Rods pot plants survived the journey.
